Sales

Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett, Inc. sales force deals exclusively with bank and thrift financial products, efficiently serving many different types of clients.

Institutional
Our investment executives have extensive history serving the largest money managers, insurance companies, mutual funds and institutional investors in the United States. We have earned their trust through exhaustive research and by providing ideas and opportunities that are unique to our desk. Our people work to increase the visibility of our community banks and their management teams. We are regularly engaged in institution road shows, investor days, conferences and one-on-ones to help introduce our bank clients to the largest pools of institutional money. With these relationships, Howe Barnes has the ability to distribute equity, convertibles, trust preferreds and debt, both through public offerings and private placements.

Banks
Howe Barnes interacts on a regular basis with our bank clients. Whatever a client’s unique needs, our investment executives are focused on delivering value and providing the highest service. We spend extensive time working to increase the visibility of our banking clients in their local communities. This is accomplished by providing liquidity to bank shareholders and customers in even our most illiquid names. Our investment executives also help facilitate share repurchase programs; using our contacts both institutionally and locally, we have found success working with our clients in executing share buybacks.

Individuals
Howe Barnes deals with many individuals who have found success investing in our research ideas. We are committed to providing the same level of professionalism and service to our individual clients that our largest institutional clients enjoy. We work with many bank directors and executives, as well as high net worth individuals, who understand the long-term benefits of investing in high quality community banking organizations.

Trading

Howe Barnes commits its own capital to making principal markets for more than 450 banks and thrifts throughout the country. Our traders are continually searching for and adding dynamic community banking companies to our market making list. Our list has grown on average of 15% for the last several years as we continue to expand both the number and geographic locations of the companies we trade. Howe Barnes’ unique philosophy of developing a complete relationship with our banking clients allows us to significantly impact the trading in many of our stocks.

Howe Barnes is actively engaged in the trading of non-SEC reporting companies on the NASDAQ, Bulletin Board and the Pink Sheets. We currently trade over 100 non-SEC reporting companies. Many of our banking clients have found using Howe Barnes as a market maker for their shares provides many benefits to the institution and to their shareholders. Increased liquidity, assistance in executing stock buy backs, anonymity for selling shareholders and familiarity to the capital markets are all benefits of introducing Howe Barnes as a market maker.
